Prices
What piano & fragile item removals in Sandbach costs
Our rates are the same in Sandbach as everywhere else we work, and they are never changed by postcode.
Specialist handling for pianos, antiques, fine art and anything else where the replacement cost is the whole problem.
This is priced for the item and the access rather than from a table: tell us what it is, the floors at each end and where the van can stop, and your quote arrives in writing within 24 hours.
To get an itemised quote, send us both addresses, the floor and lift situation at each, where the van can stop, and what the job involves. Your quote arrives in writing within 24 hours.
The service
Piano & Fragile Item Removals with AFS
Some items are not a question of weight but of consequence. Pianos, antique furniture and framed art are wrapped, braced and moved as their own job within the job.
Goods in Transit cover applies to these items exactly as it does to the rest of the load — they are not treated as an exclusion because they are valuable.
Before moving day
Before moving day in Sandbach
Three things that decide how a move runs at any address. Tell us about them when you ask for a quote.
- 1
Parking at both addresses
Is there somewhere a van can legally stop close to the door? If a bay needs suspending, each council sets its own notice and fee, from a few working days to three weeks, so check yours before you fix the date.
- 2
Floors, stairs and lifts
Which floor, and does a lift take furniture? Stairs are charged by the flight from the first floor up, and a working lift removes the charge.
- 3
The carry to the door
A long walk from the van, a narrow gate or a tight stairwell changes the time a job takes. Tell us, and it is planned rather than found.

Once you book, one named coordinator confirms the date, vehicle and crew, and stays your contact until the last box is in.
- 4
Packed and loaded
Floors and doorways protected, furniture dismantled and blanket-wrapped, and the van loaded in the order you want it unloaded.
- 5
Unloaded and rebuilt
Boxes go to the rooms you labelled, beds go back together, and the crew stays until you have walked the house.

Simon NewburyVerified Google review“We had originally booked a local firm for our move, but due to a last minute exchange and insane demand for movers, none were available. AFS had a 3-man crew available at short notice who were brilliant and hardworking.”
Drew HarveyVerified Google review“Booking was straightforward and AFS confirmed a few days before. The team turned up on time and were friendly and efficient. They packed up, drove to the delivery address and unpacked again, all with no drama or fuss.”
