Before moving day
Before moving day in Basildon
Three things that decide how a move runs at any address. Tell us about them when you ask for a quote.
Parking at both addresses
Is there somewhere a van can legally stop close to the door? If a bay needs suspending, the council will want notice — often a week or more.
Floors, stairs and lifts
Which floor, and does a lift take furniture? Stairs are charged by the flight from the first floor up, and a working lift removes the charge.
The carry to the door
A long walk from the van, a narrow gate or a tight stairwell changes the time a job takes. Tell us, and it is planned rather than found.

“Booking was straightforward and AFS confirmed a few days before. The team turned up on time and were friendly and efficient. They packed up, drove to the delivery address and unpacked again, all with no drama or fuss.”
Alin Necula
European Removals
“We had a slightly complicated move, with our belongings shipped from London to France. AFS Removals team (led by Kim and Lee) were absolutely wonderful. They followed up on every aspect of the move to each country and stayed in touch throughout.”

Office Removals & Clearance
“Thoughtful, professional & hard working. They did not stop! I had 3 offices to clear & 3 hours to do it in. I was having a meltdown and they were patient and accommodating. Job done. Happy move.”
