The Royal Borough asks for 10 working days' notice to suspend a permit parking bay and two working days for a pay-by-phone bay. Permit-bay applications made five days or fewer before the start date may be considered at the council's discretion, with short-notice charges on top. Applications must arrive before 3pm on a working day, and payment in full is needed before the suspension is approved and signs go up.
