What house clearance in Haringey costs
Our rates are the same in Haringey as everywhere else we work, and they are never changed by postcode.
When a property has to be emptied — at the end of a tenancy, when downsizing, or before the new home is ready — we move out everything you are keeping and take it where it needs to go.
What we move, and what we don't
We load, protect and move everything you are keeping: furniture, boxes, appliances and anything set aside for family. Each destination can be its own stop, so one job can deliver to a new home, a storage unit and a relative's address.
We don't take items for disposal, recycling or donation. For those, most councils run a bulky waste collection, or you can use a registered waste carrier. In England you can check a carrier on the Environment Agency's public register before you hand anything over.
When people book it
- Downsizing, including moves into retirement housing, where only part of a home's furniture goes to the new flat.
- The end of a tenancy, when the property has to be handed back empty by a fixed date.
- Moving into storage, when the old home has to be emptied before the new one is ready.

Congestion Charge
TfL's daily charge inside the zone only
Added as its own line if either address is inside central London's Congestion Charge zone during charging hours. Our vans meet the ULEZ standard, so there is no ULEZ charge.
TfL: Congestion Charge zone and hours
The minimum booking is 2 hours for the Small Transit (SWB) and Transit LWB, and 3 hours for the Luton Box Van, 5.5 Tonne Lorry, 7.5 Tonne Lorry, 10 Tonne Lorry, 12 Tonne Lorry and 18 Tonne Lorry.
To get an itemised quote, send us both addresses, the floor and lift situation at each, where the van can stop, and what the job involves. Your quote arrives in writing within 24 hours.

The service
House Clearance with AFS
We move the belongings you are keeping: to your new home, to a storage unit, or to family members' homes, in one job or room by room. We don't collect or dispose of unwanted items, so the plan starts with what is staying with you.
Priced the same way as any other job — an hourly rate set by vehicle and crew, plus mileage — so emptying one room and emptying a whole house are quoted on the same basis, just with different time and vehicle size.

Reserving space outside the property: Haringey Council
Haringey takes bay suspension applications online, through an account, and asks for 2 weeks' notice. It charges a £280 administration fee plus £80 per space per day. Haringey does not suspend red routes; those requests go to TfL. Its page does not say whether a house move qualifies, so confirm that with the council. With AFS, you apply for and pay for any suspension yourself, then send us the booking reference and bay location so we can plan the van around it.
