Wardrobes that will not fit through the door and beds that were built in the room they stand in are the two things that most often turn a four-hour move into a seven-hour one.

This is charged per item rather than by the hour, so the cost is known before the van arrives.

Questions

Furniture Disassembly & Reassembly in Tower Hamlets: common questions

Do you cover all of Tower Hamlets?
Yes. We cover all of Tower Hamlets, across the E1, E2 and E1W postcode districts, including Whitechapel, Weavers, St Katharine's & Wapping and Stepney Green. A move from Tower Hamlets to Shoreditch or to the other end of the UK is priced from the same rate card.
What are your prices for furniture disassembly & reassembly in Tower Hamlets?
The same as everywhere we work — our rates do not change by postcode. For example, standard 2-door wardrobe: £60 (£110 with reassembly). Per item, dismantling only; the reassembly price includes putting it back together at the new address. Every booking carries a £90 minimum. Your itemised written quote arrives within 24 hours.
Can you dismantle and reassemble a sofa in Tower Hamlets?
Yes. A modular or sectional sofa is £60 to take apart, or £100 with reassembly at the new address; a sofa bed is £70, or £120 with reassembly; and a sofa that only needs its legs or arms off is £30, or £50 rebuilt. The £90 minimum booking applies.
Do you take apart IKEA wardrobes in Tower Hamlets?
Yes, including IKEA PAX. A PAX of two or three sections is £100 to dismantle, or £180 with reassembly. Send photos first: PAX and sliding wardrobes are confirmed from photographs, because rebuilding one depends on its condition, the fittings and the wall space at the new address.
Do I need to arrange parking for moving day in Tower Hamlets?
Tower Hamlets takes suspensions through an online form and needs 7 working days' notice, with payment received by then. You apply for and pay for any suspension yourself, and tell us the bay when you book; the council's fees and link are in the council rules section.
Show all 8 questions
Is dismantling included in the move price?
No. It is charged separately, per item, at a published rate, so customers who do not need it are not paying for it in the hourly rate.
Do you rebuild furniture at the new address?
Yes. Every item has two published prices — dismantling only, or dismantling and reassembly — so you choose whether we rebuild it at the new address.
Can you dismantle furniture without a full move booked?
No. Dismantling and reassembly are added to a removal with us rather than booked on their own — add them on the quote form alongside your move.
