Prices

What removals & storage in Tower Hamlets costs

Our rates are the same in Tower Hamlets as everywhere else we work, and they are never changed by postcode.

The commonest home in Tower Hamlets has two bedrooms (40% of homes in the 2021 Census; 31% have one).

How a storage move works

Three parts, each its own line in your quote: the move from your home into storage, the storage itself by the month, and the move from storage to your new address when you are ready.

Part of a load can go straight to the new home and the rest into storage on the same job. Tell us which pieces go where, and wrapping or packing materials for anything being stored are priced in your quote.

When people book it

  • The completion on the new home is later than the date the old one has to be empty.
  • A renovation, when the furniture needs to be out of the way for a few weeks.
  • Downsizing, when not everything fits the new home and you are not ready to decide what to keep.
  • A short gap of a night or a few days: we have collected furniture, stored it overnight and delivered it back the next day.

Storage and the moves either side

The moves into and out of storage are each billed for the hours worked, never below the minimum, plus mileage between your two addresses. Larger homes' storage is priced on volume in your written quote.

Other charges that can apply

  • Stairs

£10 per person, per flight, per hour

From the first floor up, for the hours at that address. A floor is 2 flights, so a first floor with a two-person crew adds £40 an hour there. A working lift that takes furniture removes the charge.

  • Waiting time

    £40 per person, per hour

For example if the keys are released late on completion day: £80 an hour for a two-person crew.

  • Timing

    +20% Sundays and bank holidays

Your quote says which applies to your date before you book.

  • Congestion Charge

TfL's daily charge inside the zone only

Added as its own line if either address is inside central London's Congestion Charge zone during charging hours. Our vans meet the ULEZ standard, so there is no ULEZ charge.

TfL: Congestion Charge zone and hours

The minimum booking is 2 hours for the Small Transit (SWB) and Transit LWB, and 3 hours for the Luton Box Van, 5.5 Tonne Lorry, 7.5 Tonne Lorry, 10 Tonne Lorry, 12 Tonne Lorry and 18 Tonne Lorry.

To get an itemised quote, send us both addresses, the floor and lift situation at each, where the van can stop, and what the job involves. Your quote arrives in writing within 24 hours.

Do you cover all of Tower Hamlets?
Yes. We cover all of Tower Hamlets, across the E1, E2 and E1W postcode districts, including Whitechapel, Weavers, St Katharine's & Wapping and Stepney Green. A move from Tower Hamlets to Shoreditch or to the other end of the UK is priced from the same rate card.
What are your prices for removals & storage in Tower Hamlets?
The same as everywhere we work — our rates do not change by postcode. For example, luton box van, 2 movers: £100/hr (3-hour minimum (£300)). Are the moves in and out covered?
Yes. Goods in Transit and Public Liability cover are included on the moves into and out of storage, the same as on any other job.
